Spina Bifida Association of Ky Financial Assistance Fund

As part of our mission, SBAK has developed a Financial Assistance Fund to help individuals with Spina Bifida lead better lives by assisting in various areas, such as education, equipment, physical needs, and emergency assistance. Through this program we can provide:

• Assistance purchasing equipment and making modifications to make homes more accessible. We cannot provide assistance for permanent modifications to rental homes/apartments.
• Payment for adaptive sports equipment and participation fees to promote physical activity
• Payments for medical and therapy bills not covered by insurance
• Emergency assistance for families experiencing long or unexpected hospital stays including travel expenses, food assistance, etc.
• Payment of fees to attend  accessible camps or conferences

Our goal is to help as many people as possible, but our budget for this fund is small and we currently are not accepting applications requesting more than $1,500 in aid.
